Easter Fun !!!!

<

I am a little late on posting my easter post. We had a nice time this Easter with all the grandkiddies and family. We had a barbeque. Yummy polish sausage dogs, salads, chips, olives, deviled eggs and plenty of drinks. The day was just perfect. The sun was shining and no wind. Seemed like the first day of summer. The weather today is cold, rain, wind and is suppose to storm for a couple more days. I wished mother nature would make her mind up. LOL Anyways after we ate I gave the grandkids bubbles. They were scented. Some smelt like vanilla, chocolate, cherry, and mint. They had a blast blowing them and seeing how long they would stay in the air before popping. I laughed to myself as I watched them playing with them. Some would spill them as they went running to catch that bubble in the air, some would get them so close to their mouth it got on their lips, some would pop in their face, watching them laugh and pointing to the sky left some GREAT memories on this Easter day. Then I gave them each a pair of sunglasses. Some fit, some didn't, some broke and some were just way cool!!!! We had our annual easter egg hunt. I think that was the funnest time of the day. The kids were all excited as they ran and tried to find the eggs with their names on them and picked up the candy that was thrown among the grass. After the hunt I had made a treat for them along with the peeps cupcakes that Keslee loved. Their treat I put together was a graham cracker, a couple of peeps and a hersheys candy bar. I told them that when they got home they could stack them together and put them in the microwave and SHHUBAMM they had themselves a smores. I hope the family had as nice of a Easter as I did. Family is the most important part of your life and I want them to know how much I LOVE each and everyone of them. Hope you all had a HAPPY EASTER..

April Fools !!!!!

My granddaughter stayed the night last night and I hadn't a clue that today was April fools.
Well, usually when MiCayla and I are together for some reason, things happen. We decided to tie Tom's bedroom door knob to mine so when they got up they couldn't get out. LOL Ha Ha it worked. All of a sudden I heard Kyson crying wanting out and then I really started to feel bad. Suddenly we heard Tom say it is April fools my mom has tied the door shut. I must admit I about peed my pants listening, seeing and laughing at this one.
MiCayla wanted me to go to wallmart with her and super glue quarters to the floor by the crane machines. Well, sounded like fun to me but, I don't think it would be to funny sitting in jail for destruction of property. So she glued a nickel by the front porch. This one is going to last forever as of watching everyone from now on that comes to the house try to pick that nickle up. It is permanent. LOL
My joke was putting peanut butter on the rails. Well, it worked... As we laughed at everybody walking up the stairs I think the worst one to get it was MiCayla and I. No matter us knowing about it, we sure forgot in a hurry, and was constantly holding the rail. Ed got it to pretty bad. LOL
Then comes the toilet with peanut butter. Knowing that is the first place everybody goes when they first wake up. Surprise. That I think was the sickest one ever. LOL
Tom put up plastic wrap hoping to catch MiCayla as she ran up the stairs as she usually would do. Dang she seen it. We will have to work on that one better next year.
Kyson brought me down a nice cup of cold ice water. That little stink had put salt in it. And I fell for it. Along with Tom putting salt in my coke.
So, bwaaaaa I put left over Don Pedro's chips crushed in the toes of Tom's shoes. Ha Ha he fell for it. So he decided to dump them on the floor instead of pour them out in the garbage. I said Tom what are you doing? He said April Fools. Thank heaven we have a doggy vacuum.
As Tom was still sound asleep this morning, MiCayla snuck into his room and wrote I <3 U on his cheek with magic marker. Ha Ha Ha
Then MiCayla got into the makeup and decided to make a black eye. This was the best. I sent the picture to several family members and told them that MiCayla fell down my stairs last night. Ha Ha Ha they all fell for it, calling me up or texting me saying Holy Shit!!!!
Hope everyone is having a fun April Fool's Day today. And, watch your back next year.!.!.!.!
Love You All To The Moon And Back.....

50 WHAT ? Birthday Uggh

I thought turning 50 was horrible but 50 what? I don't know if it is because it is such a odd number instead of even or what? Is it because I can't seem to get a grip on getting older or what? Is it that I remember back when grandma's were only that old? Either way I think of it, it doesn't make any sense to me. Does it mean time needs to slow down so we never have to face the fact? Sara said this pic looks like I am doing the five dollar foot long . I actually thought I was one of the American Idol contestants. Call 55 to vote after the show!
Well, Mandy was so sweet to only put on 11 candles but  let me know that each candle stood for 5 years. What?
Thank heavens for that thought. I think I would have past out blowing them all out. Oh well, I look at it this way. Having a GREAT family that I can share those 50 what ?, years with makes my Birthdays well worth it. Thanks to my family for being with me. The memories are ALL that matters in life. One day you will be 50 what? I LOVE YOU ALL

A Penny For Your Thought

Hi, I haven't written in my blog for quite sometime. As Ed and I were listening to conference this morning, a song was being sung called Somewhere Over The Rainbow. I have always liked this song because it reminds me of  the gold in the heavens. Listening to this song gives me comfort.
Something that has meant alot to me is when we would visit my brother Alan and my sister in law Diane along with their family. Hopefully this summer we can spend more time with them. As I looked through Shelbie's room the other day I came across this journal that she had wrote in 2001 from one of her classes. It talks about how excited she was to visit her Uncle, Aunt and nieces. As I read through it, it talked about always finding coins in their house. Her uncle would tell Tom and Shelbie that they find change all the time. Just out of no where. By clicking on the picture I hope it will show it closer so you can read it.
When Shell past, a lady from e-bay had sent me this card along with the items I had purchased. I never really thought in the past the importance of finding a penny on the ground and now realize that it really is a penny from heaven.
And an Angel is now watching over you.
I was finishing some laundry this morning and as I opened the dryer door, there sat a penny on top of my towels. I have found pennies and change on the ground  but never on top of my towels in my dryer. Sitting there as if it had been placed by a angels hand. It brought a smile to my face as I thought, Could it possibly come from heaven or somewhere over the rainbow? I love my family.

Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me.
